Design thesis: The Bremer Wollkämmerei site in Bremen-Blumenthal
Development of a masterplan for a former industrial site adjacent to the centre of the borough of Blumenthal in Bremen. While the site benefits from a waterfront and a rich heritage of industrial buildings, it is also home to large unsightly metal sheds which are still used by businesses and have to be retained.
The proposed masterplan allows for flexible development of the site that can adapt to changing demand over time. It makes use of the site´s assets, caters for new uses and successfully integrates existing uses.
