Traffic Impact Studies

La Paz Cable Car Network Phase 1 | La Paz, Bolivia

The world’s largest cable car network for public transport was built in the neighbouring cities of El Alto and La Paz. A traffic impact study was legally required for each of the cable car stations in La Paz. They served to forecast the expected impact on vehicular traffic in the area around the stations.

The work included the collection and analysis of traffic data, comprehensive site audits and proposals for mitigation measures where a negative impact was expected plus development of a consistent structure for all studies following guidelines by the municipality. The studies were submitted to La Paz’ municipality and approved.
